Clean Up Your Pantry

"But I can't afford it...."

That is #1 reason I hear when it comes to choosing to eat good, clean, nutritious, organic foods.

I get it! But, here's some good news, I have some tips and tricks to get you moving towards cleaner eating.

Does it matter though? Like really? Short answer: yes.

Your health is always worth the sacrifice.

When I'm experimenting with different "diets", cleanses, fasting, etc. one part of it all stays the same: clean eating.

For the last 30+ years, we've advanced in the labs to create some amazing concoctions that our bodies have been left to sift through to find the nutrients and push out the junk. Unfortunately, we're bombarded with so many toxins (i.e, pesticides, insecticides, chemicals, poisons..) that the more we can eliminate, the lighter the load our body has to carry and can instead heal and function well!

Toxic overload looks like: acne, weight gain, not sweating, brain fog, headaches, bloating, and so much more.

Removing toxins is for another post, but here are a few tips towards turning towards clean eating.

  1. Eat out less (save that money for the grocery store!)

  2. Take advantage of Farmer's Markets if you can

  3. Less processed foods, more real foods

  4. EWG's shopper's guide!

This shopper's guide is the best first step! This helps you know which foods are sprayed with less/minimal chemicals so you can buy the cheapest option in the store; and which foods are sprayed HEAVILY, so it's best to buy organic or just avoid in general!

Note: this list is updated every year: https://www.ewg.org/foodnews/dirty-dozen.php

I started switching out my toxic pantry by following this list.

Use it, take advantage of the knowledge it gives you, and...

thank the Lord above that avocado's are the least toxic!!

Happy Cleaning!
